The tour starts when your driver picks you up in a ’92 Land Rover Defender from your villa or hotel. As you drive through emerald green rice paddies, your friendly and knowledgeable cruise director will take the time to explain the things you see along the way and the ins and outs of Balinese and Hindu culture. You visit a traditional stone-quarry where you see how the building blocks of Bali come to life, as well as a traditional Balinese farmer’s house, where a welcoming family shows you how the Balinese day-to-day life is organised. As the tour goes on, the driver will stop at gorgeous photography sites, including the spectacular UNESCO protected Jatiluwih Rice Fields, and he gives you plenty of time to get those stellar pics that will make your friends at home envious.

Admire a hot mineral spring where Balinese have been bathing here for centuries. Relax in our bamboo restaurant built by local craftsmen surrounded by the rainforest with its magic sound. On the adventure journey you have the opportunity to taste the Balinese Lunch which is served in the ingredients from the island, some straight out from the rainforest and accompanied by red or white whine in the Rainforest Restaurant. Taste the Bali Mountain Coffee, cognac through reminds French.

Waka Land Cruise Tour Itinerary


Approximate Time: 10.00 – 10.45 AM

You will visit an amazing stone quarry. Time seems to have stood still for centuries. Meanwhile, the people from Tegal Jadi cut the stone, known as paras, out of the cliff the same way as always, using traditional methods and techniques handed down for generations. The stones are rectangular shaped and weight about five kilograms each. They are used to build the temples and shrines of the island.


Approximate Time: 11.00-11.45 AM

At this shop you will be in typical family run farmhouse. It is very good example of the Balinese architectural concept, which has buildings, positioned in a courtyard accordingly to the family temple. Meanwhile, the kitchen wall made out of bamboo and rendered with a mixture of mud and rice husk. Afterward, Waka Land Cruise will take you for a short walk around the garden to discover some of the fruits and vegetables grown there – banana, mango, Rambutan, snake fruit, jack fruit, pineapple, tapioca and others. Meanwhile the Waka Land Cruise has prepared vanilla, cloves as well as coffee and biscuits in the baskets on top of your car and they will ready to serve you.


Approximate Time: 13.00-14.30 PM.

Your Vehicle climbs to over 900 meters and you are above the rice bowl of Jatiluwih. Meanwhile, the mountain air is cooler and scenery becomes different. Afterward, you are entering the rain forest where giant bamboos and fern trees abound. Sacred Mount Batukaru reveals its splendour and a short stroll leads you to our rain forest camp. Built out of bamboos cut and assembled by local craftsmen. It sits in the middle of nowhere. You will enjoy a delicious Balinese Lunch with excellent wine. Some of the produce is straight out of the rain forest. Moreover, a chance also to taste the famous Bali coffee, cognac though remains French. Small shrines to the divinities that inhabit the rain forest of sacred mount Batukaru, pure spring water running in suspended bamboos, but overall a tremendous stillness and a great sense of piece – The soul of Bali.


Approximate Time: 15.00 – 15.30 PM

Afterward, we will visit a sacred hot spring where local people have always come to bath. The spring bubbles up at temperature of approximately 30 C or 86 F. Meanwhile, you will enjoy beautiful scenery of manicured terraced paddy fields that continue function efficiently on an age old of unique irrigation system.

The rates of Waka Land Cruise are valid until 31 March 2019

The additional charge of 3% will be charged if the payment is made by credit card on spot for bank administration fee

Payment can be also made via PayPal

Free round trip hotel transfer is valid for hotel area in Tanjung Benoa, Nusa Dua, Jimbaran, Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Sanur, Tanah Lot and Ubud only. We will change the additional fee when the pick up service area beyond than the above service area.

Cancellation and No Show Policy

We will change the cancellation fee when:

The booking cancellation is made within 3 days before the service date, 50% of the total tour reserved will be charged as a cancellation fee.

The cancellation is made within 1 day before the service date up to no show, a full (100%) charge will be applied as a cancellation fee

This cancellation policy is valid for individual booking and not valid for group booking. We will advise the cancellation policy for group booking on our confirmation sheet.
